ACBF & ESRF organize a Workshop on Assessing and Updating Data.

    In October 27th, 2016, the African Capacity Building Foundation in collaboration with the Economic and Social Research Foundation (ESRF) organized a one day Technical Review Workshop to assess and update the data instrument used for the Africa Capacity Index (ACI). The workshop was held at Ramada Resort Hotel, in Dar es Salaam.

    The main objective of the Workshop was to review the ACI data collection instrument in order to ensure its relevance, with respect to the new context of Africa's development agenda characterized by the implementation of Agenda 2063 and Agenda 2030.

    The specific objectives of the workshop were; to undertake a comprehensive review of the ACI data collection instrument; make suggestions on the questions and areas that need improvements, updating and/or reconsideration in line with current African and global development agendas; and assess its relevance in the changing capacity building landscape and seek options of producing it more efficiently.
