ESRF hosts a Three day Workshop on Research Proposal Writing.

    From 1st to 3rd November 2017, the Economic and Social Research Foundation (ESRF) with the support from the International Development Research Centre (IDRC) through Think Tank Initiative (TTI) will host a three day capacity development Workshop which will be held at ESRF Conference Hall.

    The objective of this workshop is to strengthen capacity for staff in the aspect of proposals writing. Furthermore research teams in this workshop will be exposed to strategic issues in writing research proposals for funding.

    The three day workshop draws participants from five Research Think Tanks across Africa namely; Initiative Prospective Agricole et Rurale (IPAR) Senegal, Institute of Statistical, Social and Economic Research (ISSER), College of Humanities, University of Ghana Ghana, Policy Research for Development (REPOA), Science, Technology and Innovation Policy Research Institute (STIPRO) and the host institution the Economic and Social Research Foundation (ESRF) the last three Think Tanks are from Tanzania.

    The Think Tank Initiative (TTI) was launched in 2008 dedicated to strengthening the capacity of independent policy research institutions in the developing world. Currently 43 think tanks in 20 countries of the world are benefiting from the TTI support through core funding and capacity development programs.

    Since September 2009, the IDRC/TTI has been an important donor providing core funding and institutional support to three Tanzanian Policy Think Tanks namely the Economic and Social Research Foundation (ESRF), Policy Research for Development (REPOA) and Science, Technology and Innovation Policy Research Organization (STIPRO).

    The IDRC/TTI support based on strengthening institutional capacity and organizational sustainability for the Tanzanian Think Tanks in areas of research quality, policy linkages and organizational performance.
